Estate Planning for Intellectual Property Rights

A client’s estate may contain many intangible intellectual property rights, such as trademarks, copyrights, and patents. This is more common when planning for the “creative” client such as an entertainer, musician, songwriter, or athlete. It can be of great benefit to you and your clients to develop your knowledge of how these assets are transferred.
