The Case for the Independent Trustee

I find that once clients see the big picture, they are relieved and even excited to nominate an independent trustee to serve after the second death. The single greatest service we can do for our clients is to keep the family together after the death of the grantors. I encourage everyone reading this to consider recommending independent trustees to their clients when the time comes to administer their estates.
