Between October 2012 and May 2013, this page will showcase client success story videos as they are published.  Voting for the top three videos begins June 2013.  Until, then please share these videos with your colleagues and clients via email or your social media networks.

Why is WealthCounsel launching this campaign?

The short answer is "to build awareness."  WealthCounsel is committed to doing its part to educate the public about why estate planning is important, and to support the efforts of other consumer-focused organizations to boost financial literacy in this country.

Our own recent surveys tell us that one of the most common reasons clients engage in estate planning is to spare their family members and heirs the chaos and conflict that often occurs after their death.  Another common reason that consumers engage in planning is to protect their children from mismanaging their inheritance, or to shield their children's inheritance from creditors.

The stories showcased below are the video winners of the 2011-2012 Creating Lasting Legacies campaign.  We encourage everyone to share these videos with their colleagues and loved ones to illustrate the importance of proper estate planning.  To “Like” or “Share” the videos below, open the video in YouTube and use the links below the YouTube video.

What’s It all About?

Creating Lasting Legacies is a new public relations campaign that WealthCounsel launched in 2011 in an effort to engage members in a video contest where attorneys share client success stories and educate consumers about the importance of estate planning. Launched in conjunction with National Estate Planning Awareness Week Oct. 15-21, 2012, the campaign will extend from October 2012 to May 2013.

How Does it Work?

Each month WealthCounsel will accept a limited number of video files from members showcasing client stories. Video files will be converted to YouTube and shared on this webpage.

Online voting of the submitted videos will open in June 2013. The top three vote-getters will be announced at the Planning for the Generations Symposium in Denver and the winners will be awarded cash prizes.

Use the Social Media “Share” Button!

Until we open the content for voting in June 2013, we encourage you to “Share” these videos! Share them through your social media networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.. You may also share this site with your colleagues and clients to promote estate planning awareness.
